Keeping up with the Panthers

I got a tip bout a great website to follow the Pike Valley Track teams. Click here to see results from all of the meets so far!

Issues on the main page

I will apologize now for a slight mix up on the main page. Apparently I'm not as tech-savvy as I once thought. Hopefully I can get the look of the page figured out, and perhaps that new bakground my cousin did. Feel free to visit the photo album (I've got new ones from the Lions Club track meet)

Technology can be a pain sometimes...

Like a turtle out of its shell...

Congrats to the Lady Buffs softball team, who picked up their first win of the year over Russell 11-10 in 10 innings. Chelsea Freed cranked out a 2 run double in the bottom of the 10th for the win, but Jess Wollenberg had a very solid outing on the mound to get there.

They may have lost the second game of the double-header, 8-15, but they have some fun doing it. There are some very good athletes on the team, and when everything starts to click mentally, the wins will come easier. Just maybe not today, with winds gusts scheduled for 40+ mph when they travel to Chapman.

Go Buffs!

Rain, rain go away...

RC JV track at Washington postponed.

RC Softball at Concordia postponed to April 24.

Rock Hills JH track meet postponed to April 28.

New background coming soon

My cousin Derrick is a wiz at the graphic desgin stuff. I hope to add this desing to the blog soon! Thanks, D!

3 qualify for Kids State Wrestling

The Republic County Kids Wrestling Club had eight wrestlers qualify for districts in McPherson March 22. They were Austin Barntz, Connor Strutt, Miranda Cottenmyre, Grant Strnad, Kyle Strutt, Bret Filipi, Jaishawn Baija, and Eric Walker. Three of these wrestlers qualified for the Kansas Kids Wrestling State Tournament in Topeka at the Expocentre March 29th and 30th. Those wrestlers were Kyle Strutt, Grant Strnad, and Miranda Cottenmyre.

Kyle Strutt placed 6th in the 12 and under 150 lbs. A very difficult tournament with around 2,000 wrestlers. Only the best wrestlers make to this tournament, a very difficult competition. To place in the top 6 is a very big honor. All 3 wrestlers wrestled good in a very big and tough tournament. Congratulations to Kyle, Grant, and Miranda!
