First Tee golfers

The First Tee Open Junior Golf Championship was held Monday, July 26th in Salina. Those in attendance from Belleville were Blake Porter (middle) in the 15-16 age division he shot a 38-37 for a 75. Kendsey Johnson (left) was in the 12-13 age division and she shot a 50-54 for a 104. Brett Stindt was in the 11 & under age division and shot a 49.

Basketball Champs!!!



For the second consecutive year, the Republic County Lady Buffaloes have dominated the Clay Center Summer Basketball League, taking home 1st place on Monday night.  Losing only one game the entire summer, they ended the season by winning in overtime against their popular rival, Washington County, 45-41.  The girls on the team were Celsey Beneda, Hunter Duensing, Lacie Shoemaker, Kayley Johnson, Devin Nutsch, Lexia Aurand, Abbie Anderson, LaShae Hedstrom, and Jayden Jackson.  The team was coached by Ashley Nutsch.

    The Republic County Lady Buffs played in the Washington county Summer Volleyball League on Wednesday nights in the month of June.  The first four Wednesday nights, the Buffs were victorious over Linn 1, Linn 2, Hanover 1, Hanover 2, Washington County Green, Washington County Orange, Pike Valley Blue, and Pike Valley White.  On Wednesday, June 30, the Lady Buffs went into the tournament night ranked first with a perfect 8 wins and no loss record.  Republic County won over Pike Valley Blue in the quarter-finals and Linn 1 in the semi-finals.  The Championship game saw the Lady Buffs matched against a tough Washington County Green team.  After a hard fought match by both teams, Republic County won the championship for the second year with undefeated seasons at Washington.  the girls had a record of 11 wins and no losses in the summer league.  The Lady Buffs that participated in the varsity summer league were:
