The Republic County Junior High "B" teams traveled to Minneapolis January 7th. The girls finished 2nd, beating Sacred Heart 22-14 before falling to SES 26-24.
The boys claimed first with wins over Sacred heart, 32-24 and SES 33-27.
RC 7th Graders take Smith Center Tourney
The JH basketball teams from Republic County traveled to Smith Center on Saturday, December 10th. In 7th grade girls action, the Lady Buffs defeated Smith Center (31-4) and Beloit (18-17) to take first place!
The 8th grade girls knocked off the hosts in round one, 19-18, but fell to Beloit 17-14 to finish in 2nd.
The boys played at the high school, and the 7th grade defeated the Redmen 43-22, before falling to Norton in the championship, 38-48.
The 8th graders played well until the second half of their last game, defeating Smith Center 46-30, and falling to Beloit, 47-61 after leading 24-22 at half time.

Volleyball Honors
Pike Valley's Averie Gritten was recently named 1st Team All State by the Kansas Volleyball Association. In addition, she was named to the all tournament team at the 1A State Tournament in Hays.
Also recieving postseason honors was Republic County's Callie Brzon, Honorable Mention in Class 2A.
