There is no joy in Mudville...

The mighty Eagles have fallen. Hanover defeated Clifton/Clyde 28-26 Friday night for the Sub State Championship. Congrats to the Wildcats, they played a heck of a game defensivly, not letting the speedy Eagles get behind them but one time, that a 51 yard TD pass from Dustin Cyr to Michael Lambert. I'll ask again if anyone has a picture of Lambert's conversion attempt, he looked VERY close, I'd like to see just how close. Hanover will play Macksville for the 8 man D I title on Saturday.

With that game, we have wrapped up our fall sports season coverage. Deb, Bob, and I are heading to Smith Center Friday night to see if St. Francis will be the first to score on the Redmen. The streaks so far... 51 overall, 12-0 this year, and the big one... 760-0. Total score accumulation for the year. WOW!

Since you are going to be at the Smith Center game, you might as well broadcast it so all of us can listen to it!

We thought about it for a second. But his will actually be just the second HS game I've been to and not worked since I've been here in Belleville (the other was a State Championship for some of my friends in Nebraska) Plus, it's fun to be a fan every now and then...

Thanks for thinking about doing it.

Thanks for the comment, Ciabatta. I've never been to Ciabatta. Is it nice there?

That's the link to the Phillipsburg station that has been broadcasting SC games. Hope this helps!

Dan Thallman from the Clifton-Clyde Tribune/Washington County News was right there and has a photo of the conversion attempt showing that Lambert's attempt was good. Rumor has it that the photo will be in this week's Clifton-Clyde Tribune.
